'Tis the season to celebrate

Hey guys!! Welcome back, hope your break was as fantastic as mine. Happy new year and Merry Christmas.

Every single Christmas starts off with Christmas movies in my house. We watch the Hallmark channel, Lifetime and Freeform. It gets my family and me in the holiday spirit. By the time Christmas is here the pickle is already hidden in the tree, the first day it's here. One of the best Christmas traditions my family has is hiding a fake pickle ornament in the tree. Everyone loves it. I'm not sure if it's because of the huge gifts at the end, like gift cards galore, or just the fun of the game, for me it's both.

The Christmas ends with pulling out old recipes my grandma use to make with my mom. We make lemon squares, chocolate moose, green bean casserole and peppermint bark. They are delicious, except the green bean casserole. We serve it at Christmas dessert, because we host Christmas day at my house.

My favorite thing to do during Christmas time is going to see the lights at Lincoln Park Zoo. First we go get dinner at Mello's or R Jay Grunts, they have the best milkshakes. Then we walk over and see the lights. Every year it's a different theme. This year it was Alice in Wonderland, last year it was The Nutcracker. How does your family celebrate?
